The Oblivious Saint Can't Contain Her Power
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Nobody remembers Carolina Sanchez. she's the overlooked child of a prime minister. Her dad's the prime minister, her older sister Flora is basically a magical prodigy on track to become the nation's next Saint, and Carolina? She's just kind of... there. Resigned to living in everyone's shadow, she's made peace with being the unremarkable one, until a royal decree drops a political marriage into her lap. Her groom-to-be is Prince Edward Ruby Martinez, better known as the 'Bloodthirsty Prince' of the neighboring Malcosian Empire. So that's reassuring. But here's the thing: Carolina isn't actually the powerless nobody she thinks she is. The title literally translates to something like 'The Unaware Saint Unconsciously Leaks Her Power Today Too,' which tells you exactly where this is headed. She's sitting on abilities she doesn't even recognize, and watching her slowly figure that out while navigating hostile court politics and a marriage to a guy with a terrifying reputation is genuinely satisfying. The romance builds gradually against a backdrop of political maneuvering and family baggage, and Carolina's growth from self-deprecating wallflower to someone who actually owns her strength gives the whole thing real emotional weight. If you liked the self-discovery arc in The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent or the political romance vibes of Snow White with the Red Hair, this TV series hits a similar sweet spot. Fans of My Next Life as a Villainess will also find the fantasy noble setting familiar, though the tone here leans more earnest than comedic.

Caroline asking God to save the sister who has done nothing but hate her and then actually getting six wings for it is the whole show in one scene. She keeps choosing kindness and everyone around her keeps being shocked by it
My favorite beat was Caroline telling Flora that being saved by the sister she hates is already the worst punishment. Cold without even raising her voice. That's the kind of revenge I can respect
The magical doping reveal bugs me. Flora juicing herself with a black orb to keep pace and collapsing mid exam was just a setup for her to turn into a monster later and I'm tired of that arc
The whole stadium clapping and saying omedetou right after the wings came out had me screaming. They really did the Evangelion ending to a saint selection exam I can't handle it
Flora screaming that she'd rather have died than be saved by Caroline is genuinely one of the bleakest things this show has done. You feel bad for her for about two seconds before she goes right back to plotting
God himself could come down and hand Flora the L and she would still find a loophole. Six wings break out of Caroline's back and Flora's still plotting revenge under the blanket
Caroline healing the actual bruise on Owen's shirt instead of just his arm tells you everything about how broken she is. Her power has no idea where skin ends and clothes begin
I could not stop laughing when the judges gave a literal miracle fourth place. She healed her own dying sister with divine light and the panel was like yeah but the form was off. Absolute nonsense logic and I want more of it
That stadium looks like an esports arena. Glass panes a roof and an announcer booth for a holy ceremony. I was pulled right out of the fantasy every time they cut wide
Bro Flora throwing up blood all over the stage while whispering 'at least I won this one' was haunting. Her mother's expectations really ruined that girl. Also did anyone else notice Carlina still called her Onesama after everything? That's either pure saint energy or zero self-respect and I can't decide which.
I came for the Edward and Carlina romance and got a full Saint exam arc. The hand-holding scene in the hallway was cute and Edward going breathless over her robe was adorable but this whole trial format is just standard shoujo competition filler. Flora collapsing felt shoehorned to manufacture drama. Give me the domestic fluff back.
I cannot get over Edward calling Flora's sweet act repulsive when he knows exactly what she did to Lina all those years. Man saw through the mask in one glance and that made me fall harder for him. Also the whole stage going silent when Flora coughed blood onto the floor was brutal. Nobody expected that.
Carlina healing all 30 knights when everyone else was cherry-picking the easy points says everything about why she's the real Saint. That blind knight getting his vision back made me tear up. But real talk this competition setup felt borrowed from every isekai exam arc ever. The modern stadium with the glass panels was distracting too.
The towel trial was ridiculous in the best way. 318 versus 79 and she wasn't even trying. Watching the other candidates scramble one towel at a time while she just vaporized entire stacks was pure comedy. Flora popping that pill mid-exam was grim though. That body was never surviving this arc.
I'm torn on Flora's whole drug plot. Like yeah she's always been petty and jealous but she was never stupid. Trusting Jonathan after everything felt like the show needed her to crash so Carlina could look good. That said the mother's ghost showing up when she was dying got me. Even villains deserve peace.
I'm in the camp that thinks the inquisition wrapped up way too clean. Jonathan has been this scheming villain for the whole show and then he just gets caught with witnesses and signed confessions all conveniently lining up. Felt rushed. Carolina's exam win was still good though
The water filter thing cracked me up. They built an entire saint selection exam around healing and then Carolina wins by turning muddy water clear. Stealth engineering anime confirmed. Also Edward smashing through the balcony like that was way overdue
Monica got absolutely destroyed and I loved every second of it. The strangle attempt backfiring into getting stripped of her title and sent to hard labor was satisfying but the haircut they gave her in the memes is the real punishment. That aura drain was brutal
Edward going full demon mode with the red eyes and golden wings when Monica grabbed Carolina made me actually cheer out loud. Dude does not mess around when his girl is in danger. Best part was the princess carry afterward like nothing even happened
Kinda slow in its pace but the plot is still progressing
