Synopsis
Training as a Shinto priestess is already demanding enough for Suzuna Kuraki — until she's brought to a secluded family mansion to meet her arranged husband-to-be, a university student named Koichi who can't recognize women's faces due to a strange condition tied to his amnesia. That's an unusual starting point for a relationship. It gets stranger. The mansion itself seems to be alive with something, a creeping supernatural energy that loosens inhibitions and stirs up desires in everyone who stays there. What starts as a quiet introduction to a new household slowly becomes something far more complicated and charged. This is a 5-episode OVA from 2001 based on a visual novel, and it leans fully into its hentai genre while wrapping everything in genuine atmosphere — the artwork from Carnelian gives the characters real expressiveness, and the soundtrack actually does a lot of heavy lifting to keep the mood unsettling and intimate at the same time. If you've watched something like Bible Black or La Blue Girl and appreciated when these kinds of series take the time to build a setting rather than skip straight to the point, this sits comfortably in that space. It's not trying to be subtle about what it is, but the supernatural mystery threading through Suzuna and Koichi's situation gives you something to follow between scenes. For a short OVA run, it builds its world with more care than you might expect.
