A good majority of this episode was flashbacks to try to get the viewers to understand how the gang got together, but it feels a bit empty and meaningless. There's no actual good, concrete reason for them to be together, just "ahaha it'll be fun to be together"
When the animation switches to the cute chibi style, it's pretty adorable to watch, and it looks like the anime is trying to attempt to have some kind of meaning and plot. There's still a lot that has to be explained, which would've been nice to do since they were already having backstory/flashbacks... but ig not.
