📖 SYNOPSIS
Back in 1995, five teenage pilots dropped into Earth's atmosphere in stolen mobile suits and changed the course of anime mecha forever. If you grew up with Mobile Suit Gundam Wing — Heero threatening to self-destruct, Zechs being dramatic behind that mask, Relena chasing a boy who literally promised to kill her — this three-minute PV is a concentrated shot of nostalgia straight to the chest. Operation 30th is a short commemorative video from Sunrise that stitches together iconic moments from the original series and Endless Waltz, all set to a new version of "Rhythm Emotion" that hits harder than you'd expect. But it's not just a clip reel. The animation introduces updated character designs, a few new faces like Meilan (Wufei's wife from the novels) and Adin Lowe (a figure from Heero's past), plus a sleek new mech called the Wing Gundam Zero Cloaked Custom. The whole thing feels like a love letter that's also quietly teasing something more down the road. At only one episode and a few minutes long, there's zero commitment required. If you liked Gundam Wing or Endless Waltz, this is worth your time just for the updated visuals alone. Fans of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED who never went back to the Wing era might find this a good reason to finally check out what started a lot of that mid-'90s Gundam energy.
