A video game session at his friend Yuu's place is supposed to amount to another unremarkable afternoon for Ryouichi, nothing unusual there. Except this time, Yuu's aunt Yui has dropped by for a visit, and she decides to join them. Yui is charming, confident, and very clearly not that interested in whatever game is on the screen. What starts as a casual hangover turns into something Ryouichi definitely wasn't expecting when he showed up that afternoon. The whole thing plays out in that cozy, confined energy of being at a friend's house, familiar setting, unfamiliar tension. Based on Shiomaneki's adult manga, this single-episode OVA from Studio 1st keeps the focus tight on the dynamic between Ryouichi and Yui, and the adaptation brings a level of expressiveness to the character animation that fans of the source material will appreciate. It's a straightforward premise executed with decent production care. If you've watched Aneki no Kounai Kaikinbi or Oni Chichi and enjoy that older-woman-younger-man setup with a relaxed, intimate tone, this sits comfortably in that same space. It's also worth mentioning for fans of Kyonyuu Kazoku Saimin who like character-driven scenarios over pure spectacle. At one episode, it doesn't overstay its welcome. it sets up the situation, lets the characters breathe a little, and delivers on what it's promising. Low commitment, clear premise, does what it sets out to do.
