The anime "Mazu" introduces Mo Niang, a child marked by her unusual nature. Unlike other newborns, she displayed no cries or fussiness, carrying the protection of a primordial spirit. This connection was immediately evident when a jellyfish monster emerged from the sea, attempting to harm the infant. The spirit manifested, driving the monster away. During the ensuing struggle, a candlestick was knocked over, igniting the curtains. Though the fire was quickly extinguished, the experience deeply frightened Mo Niang, leaving her with a profound fear of fire.
