๐ SYNOPSIS
Jiang Han grew up in a mountain village with no answers and no parents, left behind with nothing but questions and a strange artifact โ the Celestial Beast Cauldron. When he accidentally activates it during the first couple episodes, he unlocks powers that are way beyond what anyone in his corner of the world should have. And that's when things get interesting, because this isn't a world that rewards power without a fight.
This 60-episode ONA drops you into a historical fantasy setting where martial arts cultivation and mystical forces overlap in ways that feel genuinely layered. The power system revolving around the Cauldron isn't just a generic boost โ it's tied to Jiang Han's family history and the bigger mysteries he's chasing. The animation from Suoyi Technology leans into fluid, dynamic fight choreography, which matters a lot when the show is essentially wall-to-wall combat and escalation.
The vibe is closest to Battle Through the Heavens in terms of structure โ young underdog cultivator grinding his way up through increasingly dangerous tiers of power โ but with a heavier emphasis on battlefield-scale conflicts and a humanity-vs-other-races tension that gives it more narrative weight. If you enjoyed Mo Dao Zu Shi's blend of historical atmosphere and mysticism, or Thunderbolt Fantasy's love of dramatic martial arts spectacle, this scratches a similar itch. It's a cultivation power fantasy that commits fully to its premise without much hesitation, and at 60 episodes there's room for it to actually breathe.
