i spent the whole time wondering if she was actually going to make it out and then the tentacles showed up and it just got so much darker than the start led me to believe the animation on the monsters was surprisingly fluid for an ova like this and the way they used the sound effects during the struggle really stressed me out

the rose petals flying everywhere while the monsters were attacking made for a really distinct visual style, it looked better than the game

you can really tell this came from a game because of how much focus they put on the creature designs

that transformation scene was way more intense than what you usually see in these shows

i was so shocked when those creatures showed up and grabbed her out of nowhere

Noble Rose looks great in motion and the way the episode built up to that cliffhanger worked well for setting the stakes

The soundtrack during the final confrontation made the whole struggle feel way more desperate than the typical magical girl show

I thought the art style would be generic but the way they draw the transformation sequence is actually really unique for this genre

That scene in the park where she realizes she cannot win against that thing had a lot of weight to it and the voice acting was actually decent

You can really see the NoFuture influence in those monster designs and they did not hold back on the grit for this kind of intro

My heart was sinking when she got cornered in that alleyway and the way the supernatural elements blended into the urban setting felt really oppressive

I am still reeling from that ending because I did not expect them to go that dark right out of the gate with the monster designs

This transformation sequence looked so much cleaner than the game version and the detail on her outfit is actually impressive

If you played the original NoFuture game you can definitely tell they put a lot of budget into the supernatural effects, the combat is way more fluid than expected for a first episode

The transition from a doujin game to this is a massive jump in quality and they really captured the atmosphere and the way the shadows creep in during the fight scenes feels just like the source material, and even though it is a hentai the actual magical girl elements are holding up surprisingly well so far and the supernatural elements are great

that cliffhanger with the monster dragging her into the darkness is a bold way to end the premiere and it makes you wonder how she is going to escape in the next part

the art style for the noble rose transformation is surprisingly clean and you can see where all the budget went when her clothes started tearing during the struggle against the shadow creature

my main issue is how short the fight felt because she basically got overwhelmed immediately and I wanted to see more of the supernatural powers before things got weird with the tentacles
