Lover-in-Law
Oshimeter
Synopsis
After losing both parents, college student Tsutomu ends up living with his older brother's wife, Mai, helping her run the family flower shop. His brother is almost never home anymore — work keeps pulling him further away — and Mai is left managing everything on her own. Tsutomu sees how lonely she's getting and starts spending more time with her, helping out around the shop, keeping her company. What starts as simple support gradually becomes something more complicated. Then Kozue shows up, Mai's friend who takes a part-time job at the shop, and the dynamic between all three of them gets harder to navigate. The story is adapted from a visual novel by Tinker Bell and produced by Oz Inc. as a two-episode OVA, so it moves quickly but keeps a focus on the emotional undercurrent between characters rather than just the surface stuff. If you've watched something like Aniyome or Aneki My Sweet Elder Sister and appreciated how those lean into character closeness and domestic tension, this hits a similar note. Oni Chichi fans who prefer a quieter, more grounded setup will probably find this more their speed. The flower shop setting gives it a softer atmosphere than most titles in this space, and the character designs are expressive enough that the emotional beats land. It's a short watch, but it's not in a rush.
