The anime unfolds in a world where the Heaven Fighting Race, once conquerors who called themselves "Gods," enslaved the Hundred Races of the Spirit Realm after a brutal war thirty thousand years prior. The Human Race's surrender marked the beginning of a dark age, with the other races forced into submission and enduring cruel treatment. The Heaven Fighting Race's conquest extended beyond the Spirit Realm, leading to their eventual defeat by the Hundred Races. Now, in an era where the Heaven Fighting Race is a fading legend, an amnesiac youth with the enemy's bloodline is raised in obscurity. He struggles to survive, unaware of his heritage and the destiny that awaits him as his bloodline slowly awakens.
