Laid-Back Camp
Oshimeter
Synopsis
A perfect evening, for one quiet high schooler, means camping alone. Not in a sad way, she genuinely prefers the quiet of setting up her tent at the base of Mount Fuji, cooking a simple meal over a portable stove, and watching the sky turn cold and orange. She's not lonely, she's just comfortable with solitude. Then one evening she finds Nadeshiko Kagamihara, a cheerful girl who biked out to see Fuji and got completely stranded with a dead phone and no plan. Rin shares her fire and her food, and something small but warm starts between them. This 12-episode TV series from C-Station doesn't really have conflict or drama in the traditional sense. It's about girls learning to appreciate the outdoors: the camping gear, the scenic routes, the regional food, the specific satisfaction of getting a fire started when it's freezing. The show treats camping with surprising detail and respect, walking you through real techniques and actual locations around Yamanashi and Shizuoka. The landscapes are gorgeous, and the pacing is deliberately slow in a way that feels like wrapping yourself in a blanket. If you liked the rural stillness of Non Non Biyori or the gentle hobby focus of K-On!, this hits a similar frequency. It's also a solid entry point if you've heard the term iyashikei, healing anime, and want to know what that actually feels like. Yuru Camp is the show you put on when the week has been too much and you just need something that asks nothing of you.

This is the anime that changes my life. But why, why would a CGDCT Anime be one of the few shows that I give full 10/10 for? This is THE anime that changes my perspective in life, to live in the moment, that even a cup noodle could be delicious. If you see me walking with my headphones on, it's playing Yuru Camp OST, you don't have to ask. I don't expect anyone to understand how I feel about this anime. But I hope you can find the anime that tells you to slow down, and live, live your life, it starts now, not tomorrow.
Any episode with Nadeshiko eating = Peak. The first appearance of Grandma Nadeshiko! But man Nadeshiko's sister. THE GOAT, to sleep in the car for the sake of her sister LMAO. The OST of this episode is the top ones I have on my playlist. Absolutely amazing.
the pinnacle of CGDCT comfy anime
This episode contributed so much to my personal life, I can't even describe the amount of time I rewatch this whole anime. But this is the episode that I'll always remember. A scene of a girl slurping cup noodle, enjoying fully. Watching from the perspective of Rin. I honestly don't know how to put into words. This episode changed my life, I'm not ashamed about it.
so cozy~ perfect for late night watches
Little did i know every character here would resonate with me through the entire series. I do realize we never got an explanation on why most of them likes camping other than Rin. These goofball started the club and decided "yeah lets just make bonfire". Saitou immediately revealing Rin after the fix was funny too. The camping ground for this 2 episode is legendary. One of the most memorable camping ground. Every time the ending plays my mind immediately went there.
