Synopsis

Konigiri-kun, a triangle-shaped rice ball, notices his sesame seed topping is running low and heads out to restock with his pet, Brorog. Simple enough errand, right? Except he keeps getting sidetracked by every shop along the way and completely forgets why he left the house in the first place. That's basically the vibe — a tiny stop-motion world where bento ingredients are alive, have personalities, and go about their little food-person lives. What makes this TV special worth checking out is the animation itself. This isn't drawn or CG — it's actual stop-motion made with real bento ingredients. Think little nori faces and rice bodies moving around handcrafted sets. There's a tactile, handmade quality to it that feels genuinely charming without trying too hard. The stories are short, kid-friendly, and built around everyday lessons like staying focused when you have a goal, delivered through gentle humor rather than anything preachy. If you liked the bite-sized absurdity of Mameshiba or the food-character energy of Oshushi Da yo, this sits comfortably in that same lane — anthropomorphic food doing mundane things in a way that's oddly relaxing to watch. It's aimed at kids, but there's something about watching a worried rice ball try to remember his grocery list that just works regardless of age. Low stakes, cozy atmosphere, and a craft style you don't see much of in anime.
