Kisaku Spirit: The Letch Lives
Oshimeter
Synopsis
When a notorious lecher dies in a car accident, his spirit refuses to let go instead of moving on. That's the starting point for Kisaku Spirit, a 3-episode OVA from 2004 based on a visual novel that leans hard into supernatural possession territory. Yuri, a woman who knew the original Kisaku, crosses paths with Kusaki — a genuinely decent guy who happens to look exactly like the recently deceased creep. Bad timing for Kusaki, because Kisaku's spirit latches onto the resemblance and starts haunting him almost immediately. What follows is an unsettling tug-of-war between two very different personalities sharing one body, with Kusaki's good-natured identity slowly being crowded out by something darker and more predatory. The possession angle gives it a psychological undercurrent that separates it from a straightforward hentai setup — there's actual tension in watching Kusaki lose ground to a spirit he doesn't even know exists. If you've watched something like Shusaku or Isaku and want a slightly different structural hook, the supernatural framing here adds a layer those don't really have. It's not a slow burn exactly, but the identity conflict between host and spirit keeps things moving beyond just the obvious content. Don't go in expecting deep character development across three episodes — it's an OVA, not a full series — but if the premise of a ghost hijacking someone's life sounds like your kind of unsettling, it delivers on that specific premise.
