Kisaku

Synopsis
Middle-aged, unrepentant, and impossible to like, Kisaku Itou is the kind of guy you'd cross the street to avoid — a creep who has turned blackmail into something resembling a lifestyle. This 6-episode OVA based on the visual novel drops you into his world without flinching, following him as he targets women in his community and manipulates them into situations they never wanted to be in. Characters like Madoka and Ayano Kashiwagi get pulled into his schemes early on, and the show doesn't soften what that looks like. The tone is dark and stays dark. This isn't played for laughs or framed as fantasy wish fulfillment with a wink — there's a grim consistency to how Kisaku operates, and the series leans into the ugliness of his methods rather than papering over them. It's uncomfortable in ways that feel intentional. If you've watched Shusaku or Isaku and are familiar with that corner of adult anime adaptations, Kisaku sits in the same neighborhood — morally bleak, explicit, and built around a central antagonist you're not meant to root for. Kisaku Spirit: The Letch Lives continues the story if this one hooks you. This is not a title you recommend broadly. It's a niche piece aimed at viewers who already know what they're getting into with this genre. But if dark, antagonist-driven adult OVAs from the early 2000s are something you seek out specifically, this one delivers exactly what it sets up in episode one.
