Kappa no Sanpei

📖 SYNOPSIS

Seven-year-old Sanpei, often teased for his Kappa-like appearance, lives a simple life with his grandfather, preoccupied with food and school lunches. When his school announces a swimming competition with a trip to Tokyo as the prize, Sanpei, longing to see his mother who works there, resolves to enter. Lacking swimming skills, he secretly practices at a lake, where he tragically drowns.

Instead of death, Sanpei awakens in the mystical realm of the Kappa. There, he befriends Gartaro, a Kappa child, and begins to uncover the truth about his mother's location and the mysterious disappearance of his father. The series follows Sanpei's adventures as he navigates this new world and seeks answers to his family's past.
