Kansen: Inyoku no Rensa
Oshimeter
Synopsis
One school, six students, and an overnight summer camp where things go very wrong very fast — it's exactly the kind of setup no parent would ever approve of. Yasuyuki joins the Movie Research Club mostly to spend time near Yuu, which is the kind of relatable motivation that makes the setup feel grounded before things go sideways. The club plans an all-night film event at the school during August, which already feels a little off — two teachers with their own hidden agendas, six students each carrying their own quiet secrets, and a building that turns out to be harboring something nobody signed up for. There's a virus loose in the school, and it doesn't make people sick in any conventional way. It amplifies desire, strips away inhibition, and the isolated setting means there's nowhere to go and nobody coming to help. The two-episode OVA format keeps things tight — this isn't a slow burn that forgets to pay off. It's adapted from a visual novel, so there's actual structure and character motivation underneath the chaos rather than just setup with no substance. If you've watched Bible Black or Discipline: The Record of a Crusade and liked how those built tension through isolation and escalating situations, this sits comfortably in that same space. Night Shift Nurses fans will recognize the institutional setting used as both backdrop and pressure cooker. The animation holds up, the character designs are distinct enough that you actually track who's who, and the premise does more with its concept than you'd expect from two episodes.
