📖 SYNOPSIS

In a Japan plagued by Kaiju, Kafka Hibino works a mundane job disposing of monster corpses. Inspired by his childhood friend Mina Ashiro, now a rising star in the anti-Kaiju Defense Force, Kafka reignites his dream of joining the Force. However, after an unexpected event, he transforms into the formidable Kaiju No. 8. Now, with the help of his junior colleague Reno Ichikawa, Kafka must conceal his monstrous identity while preparing for the Defense Force exam. His ultimate goal is to stand alongside Mina. As he navigates this secret life, a mysterious and intelligent Kaiju attacks a Defense Force base, forcing Kafka to make a critical decision in a desperate situation.
