📖 SYNOPSIS

"Kaidan" presents a unique film experience, merging traditional and modern techniques. The backdrop consists of black and white photographs showcasing a Shinto shrine, summer landscapes, and an old Japanese house. These static images are brought to life with CGI, introducing an unusual little girl and her ghostly frog companion. The film aims to capture the essence of a hot Japanese summer, incorporating the sounds of cicadas. The story focuses on a ghost, but it's portrayed more as a curious element than a frightening one. The use of a fish-eye lens and other visual distortions further enhances the atmosphere, hinting at the sweltering humidity and suggesting the frog's potential as an imaginary friend of the young protagonist.
