📖 SYNOPSIS

"Kachikachi Yama no Shouboutai" is a 7-minute monochrome short film created for the Fire Defense Agency. The story, based on the original work of fire history historian Eiichi Kosaita, centers on Raccoon Tanuki. He takes the initiative to organize a fire brigade composed of various animal companions. The narrative unfolds as the brigade confronts a significant challenge: a forest fire. The fire, in a unique storytelling choice, is anthropomorphized, adding a distinct element to the animation. The film, directed and illustrated by Toshiharu Obata, a veteran of animation, aims to educate children about the importance of fire fighting and fire safety.
