This anime has a very interesting premise: Kabuki. The first episode is more of an introduction; we learn about the protagonist's dreams, his goal to reach, and the characters who will gradually join the story as he wins them over. Nothing particularly groundbreaking in that regard. I've been motivated to learn a bit more about Kabuki to better appreciate certain terms I'm unfamiliar with. Also, the character designs were done by Clamp (fun fact). Although the animation isn't entirely polished, in the moments reminiscent of Kabuki, there's a noticeable effort to faithfully portray the movements, which is much appreciated.
