Synopsis
What starts as a routine school field trip becomes a nightmare when a cruise ship wrecks and a handful of survivors wash up on a deserted island. The group is mostly girls from the class, plus one guy they all previously ignored because they found him unattractive. Classic setup for a survival story, except this is a 2-episode hentai OVA from T-Rex, adapted from a visual novel, so the island has other plans for everyone involved. The hook that makes Jutaijima more interesting than a generic setup is the environmental twist: something about the island triggers an overwhelming, uncontrollable arousal in the female survivors. Suddenly the social hierarchy from back home, where this guy was at the bottom. gets completely flipped. The series plays with that power reversal and the psychological weirdness of watching people you know transform under extreme conditions. It leans into the psychological isolation angle more than most entries in the genre bother to. The survival framing gives it a bit more structure than a straightforward scenes-only release. If you've watched Kansen or Ura Jutaijima and liked that blend of supernatural influence with group dynamics, this sits comfortably in that same space. Shoujo Senki Soul Eater fans looking for something with a slightly different premise might also find it worth a look. Two episodes, so it's a short commitment. Just go in knowing what it is. this isn't trying to be a drama, but it does have more of a scenario backbone than you might expect.
