The episode mostly centers on Miyagi as he’s forced to confront his unresolved feelings of love for his deceased high school teacher after Shinobu suddenly halts his persistent romantic pursuits. Shinobu realised he’s fighting a losing against a ghost after he finds the object that Miyagi truly cherishes was a photograph of deceased high school teacher.

This sudden change in Shinobu creates a powerful emotional revelation for Miyagi, he realizes how his past trauma has isolated him and hurt Shinobu. After tracking down Shinobu and forcing him into his car, he takes him to the grave of his deceased teacher.
