It's a Family Affair
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Living under one roof with ten step-sisters is the reality Keisuke Hanamaru now has to navigate. Ten. Each one has her own personality, her own look, and her own way of making his daily life complicated. Based on a popular visual novel from 2005, this 2-episode OVA from Flavors Soft leans fully into the premise without pretending to be something it's not — it's a lighthearted adult romp centered on step-sibling dynamics with a comedic tone running throughout. The setup is essentially a harem scenario where the boundaries between family and attraction are deliberately blurry, and the show does not shy away from where that leads. The character designs are varied enough that each sister feels distinct rather than interchangeable, which is more effort than a lot of similar titles bother with. If you've watched Resort Boin or Boin and enjoyed that breezy, character-forward style of adult OVA, this fits comfortably in that same space. It's also worth noting the visual novel roots give the relationship setups a bit more framing than you'd expect from something this short. Step Up Love Story fans looking for something with less romance and more straightforward comedy will find the tone familiar. At two episodes, it doesn't overstay its welcome. It knows exactly what it is, keeps things moving, and the adaptation stays faithful enough to the source that fans of the original game tend to find it satisfying.
