Oshimeter
Synopsis
Ichirou Inuyashiki is a 58-year-old family man who is going through a difficult time in his life. Though his frequent back problems are painful, nothing hurts quite as much as the indifference and distaste that his wife and children have for him. Despite this, Ichirou still manages to find solace in Hanako, an abandoned Shiba Inu that he adopts into his home. However, his life takes a turn for the worse when a follow-up physical examination reveals that Ichirou has stomach cancer and only three months to live; though he tries to be strong, his family's disinterest causes an emotional breakdown. Running off into a nearby field, Ichirou embraces his dog and weeps—until he notices a strange figure standing before him. Suddenly, a bright light appears and Ichirou is enveloped by smoke and dust. When he comes to, he discovers something is amiss—he has been reborn as a mechanized weapon wearing the skin of his former self. Though initially shocked, the compassionate Ichirou immediately uses his newfound powers to save a life, an act of kindness that fills him with happiness and newfound hope. However, the origins of these strange powers remain unclear. Who was the mysterious figure at the site of the explosion, and are they as kind as Ichirou when it comes to using this dangerous gift?

No cause Shishigami GOTTA GO. I mean I was already thinking that in the last episode but like genuinely he really gotta go. I'm so freaked out by him. It's not everyday you'll see an evil character with no sob backstory about their life and how they came to be, but nah Shishigami just feels like doing evil deeds. HE HAD LOVING PARENTS BTW. (I think)
I've seen the titles of the upcoming episodes and I'm assuming each episode is focusing on certain characters? I could be wrong but eh. Anyway this episode does primarily focused on Shishigami- a character we've seen in ep 1 and is introduced more thoroughly in this episode, he's a very unhinged character so braced yourself. There's good news and bad news, good news is that I learned that he was voiced by Chishiya from Alice in Borderland (peak series), bad news is that the voice actor supports Trump so erm... lowkey disappointed. Update, he recently admitted he abused his ex-girlfriend welp. I guess a terrible voice actor voicing a terrible character isn't that far off huh
We have a dramatic twist with a whirlwind of emotions: redemption, emotion, sadness, and happiness, culminating in a bittersweet but deeply satisfying and moving conclusion, in my opinion. An excellent series with a satisfying ending
An exciting episode, full of action, emotion, and a shocking sequence. We got to see the characters develop their skills; the intrigue and suspense kept me glued to the screen. I'm really looking forward to the final episode.
We're approaching the climax and I'm wondering how it will all turn out, what the final battle will be like, what will happen to Shishigami and Inuyashiki. The chapters are fluid and have me completely hooked.
A somewhat eventful chapter, where we see a bit more of Mari, everything spirals out of control again and keeps you glued to the screen, wondering what will happen and what twist the story will take; I want to keep watching.
So I'm only a few minutes into the episode and I already want to throw hands. Everyone is so shit holy. Also our main character does NOT look 58, he looks like... 70+?? Moreover, I'm lowkey creep out, like... this is kinda unsettling for me. Maybe I'm not used to old man being the main character but yeah kinda weird for me. The switches to 2D and 3D probably played a role in this, actually yeah THAT and the fact it feels so grotesque somehow. Also not a big fan of the art style tho.
We delve deeper into Shishigami's story, showing us just how fragile emotions are and how they drive us. Although the episode is emotional, the ending leaves you with the feeling that there will be another cruel twist; I really loved how emotional that episode was.
The story of Shishigami is getting more and more intense as it progresses, bringing us closer and closer to the battle to stop him. I'm really excited and can't wait to see how it all ends; it has me on the edge of my seat.
Another more subdued episode, in which our characters make crucial decisions; we get to see other sides of them as the story builds toward its climax, and it features an unexpected twist at the end that has me eagerly awaiting the next episode.
It shows us the ugliest and most sinister aspects of society, capturing our full attention as it reveals just how far Inuyashiki is capable of going with his abilities; I really liked that it was much deeper and darker, with even more action: a great episode
