In classic Initial D fashion, we take a quick detour in the storyline to make up a love interest and might later be used to interfere with it - part of the plot. Not exactly my favorite part of the series but it's just there so we gotta deal with it. The rest of the episode was spent in sniffing out and feeling what Keisuke is up to. This is the real meat and potatoes of the series - It just got exciting and a cliff-hanger hits! Damn it. Can't wait to see if the Evo pulls off something actually interesting.
