I like how communicative Yoi and Kohaku are with each other. To a certain extent, I’m with Kohaku: maybe if Oji had met Yoi first, they would’ve ended up together instead. But in this episode, I think Yoi is kind of acting out of character—being so depressed about what happened. I thought she was introspective and communicative, but I guess it’s not the same when someone you love says something hurtful.

I knew from the start that Oji was going to be just a tool for this anime, but I didn’t want to accept it until this episode. I really hate what they did with him. He just ends up being a plain “good guy” with nothing to show for it—just a tool without any depth, even though he should’ve been a real threat to Kohaku and Yoi’s relationship. Instead, he falls short of those expectations.

In the end, I kind of liked the conclusion and how they have to accept that you can sulk all you want about what could’ve been, but you can’t change the past or the facts. I’m still wondering what’s going to happen in the future. We were able to see how their feelings for each other grew, but I still think the reasons they’re together are weak—just a series of coincidences that made them end up together, with no real reason behind it.
