luka_lyrical★★★☆☆EP 1Hiroshi is definitely going to get in trouble for snooping around. You can tell the system does not like outsiders looking at the data
Just trying to get through life, Imako gets pulled into something deeply unsettling, an experimental social system designed by a shadowy organization that essentially rewrites who you are. It assigns her a new identity, reshapes how people around her perceive her, and uses technology to dictate her relationships, her self-image, even her daily behavior. On the surface it sounds almost appealing, like a cheat code for social acceptance. In practice it's a slow psychological unraveling. Her childhood friend Hiroshi starts noticing something is off and begins digging into what the system actually does, while the scientist behind it all, Dr. Aoki, keeps his real motivations frustratingly murky. The core tension is Imako gradually waking up to the fact that the life she's living isn't really hers. This is a 2-episode OVA from 2014, adapted from Midori no Ruupe's manga, and it leans into psychological discomfort more than you might expect from the format. The speculative premise, technology erasing individuality in favor of idealized conformity, gives it more thematic weight than typical entries in the genre. If you've watched something like Bible Black or Discipline and wanted the narrative to slow down and actually sit with its character's interiority, this scratches that itch. Fans of Shoujo Sect who appreciated character-driven tension over pure spectacle will find the same quality here. It's not a comfortable watch, which is kind of the point.

mikasa_ackerman★★★★☆EP 1I didn't expect a hentai to go this hard on the psychological horror, because seeing Imako forced into a new life against her will is genuinely haunting
oocca★★★★☆EP 1Watching her personality just get deleted by a computer program is terrifying. It makes you wonder how much of her is even left
daboruto★★★★☆EP 1I went into this expecting something standard, but the way it explores identity erasure through that system is actually haunting. Seeing Imako lose her sense of self while Dr. Aoki watches with those murky motivations makes my skin crawl. It reminds me of the tension in Discipline, especially during that moment where her childhood friend does not even recognize her face.
yanari_yurei★★★★☆EP 1I felt so sick watching Imako lose herself and that Dr Aoki guy is pure evil for what he is doing to her
igos_du_ikana★★★☆☆EP 1a system that can just delete your soul and replace it with a new one is the scariest concept this season and imako is completely helpless against it
vincentblack★★★☆☆EP 1it is hard to watch her life get stolen by a machine and you can really feel the psychological weight when her old friends do not recognize her
koraidon_316★★★☆☆EP 1that ending with her being completely different is actually terrifying and it makes you wonder if anyone in this world is even real anymore
shinnosuke_258★★★★☆EP 1the way this show handles identity erasure reminds me of bible black but the technological angle makes it feel way more invasive and messed up
erwin_enigma_108★★★★☆EP 1watching imako slowly forget who she was actually made me feel sick and the psychological aspect of this is way heavier than i expected
misha_necron★★★☆☆EP 1that system rewriting her entire personality is way creepier than anything else and dr aoki gives off the worst vibes imaginable
trunks_traveler_85★★★★☆EP 1hiroshi starting to notice things are wrong gives some hope for imako because that social experiment is straight out of a nightmare
dendra★★★★☆EP 1I am actually disturbed by how fast Imako just loses herself to that system and seeing her memories get rewritten like that felt so gross
yellow★★★☆☆EP 1Dr. Aoki is so sketchy, and seeing him erase her entire identity for no clear reason is so uncomfortable.
raiju_rider★★★★☆EP 1That ending with them just staring at each other is worrying because of the manga rumors but for now they are just sweet together
tsundylan★★★★☆EP 1The kitchen scene really worked for me because the animation and lighting actually looked decent
menomaru★★★☆☆EP 1The character designs are exactly what you expect from the source material, which is great because they have that soft look and it feels a bit different from the usual stuff in this genre because there is a weird tension about where the story is actually going while people keep talking about the manga having a bad ending so hopefully the anime stays on this path
tael★★★☆☆EP 1Ichina seems like such a nervous wreck and it makes their dynamic pretty funny to watch
prince_demande_379★★★☆☆EP 1That art style is so good and I think the way she interacts with Ichina is just cute
kodama_king★★★★☆EP 1seeing her childhood friend start to notice the irregularities while she is being reprogrammed was the most tense part for sure
