For anime-only viewers, the conclusion might feel rather cliché, right? Well, that's Neptunia for you. The series is full of clichés and familiar tropes, to the point where it even breaks the fourth wall and pokes fun at them. If the ending felt a little lacking, don't worry. There is a true ending in the form of an OVA episode, so the story isn't quite over yet. I think I understand what the studio was trying to accomplish with this series. It feels like a gift for those who have played the games, while also giving newcomers a chance to discover the world of Neptunia. Hopefully, it will make anime-only viewers curious enough to check out the games.
