Hyoudou Ibuki: Kanpeki Ibuki Kaichou ga Kousoku Do M!? na Wake
Oshimeter
Synopsis
At her high school, Ibuki Hyoudou rules with an iron grip — student council president, academic star, the kind of person everyone respects and slightly fears. She has the perfect public image locked down. What nobody knows is what she wants behind closed doors. The setup is a familiar contrast: someone powerful and controlled in public, privately craving the opposite. The story pulls in Rie Kirisaki, a fellow student who ends up tangled in Ibuki's private world, and the two-episode OVA uses that dynamic to explore how much of who we present to others has nothing to do with who we actually are. It's adapted from a visual novel by Grand Cru Noir, which means the character writing has more foundation than the average short-run release — there's actual buildup to the relationship rather than just skipping straight to the point. Studio PoRO handles the animation, and the character designs are detailed and consistent throughout. If you've watched something like Yosuga no Sora and appreciated when adult anime takes the time to establish character tension before anything else, this scratches a similar itch. It's short — two episodes — so it doesn't overstay its welcome. The tone is more drama-leaning than pure comedy, and the contrast between Ibuki's composed public persona and her private desires is what gives it texture beyond the genre baseline.
