Homie's Tie!!

Clashing personalities, one shared dream, and five girls who all want people to actually listen to their music holding it all together. That's the core of 'Homie's Tie!!', a music video anime following Ikka Dumb Rock!, a band fresh enough that the paint is still wet. Raika handles guitar and vocals with the kind of stubborn intensity you either love or find exhausting. Miku matches her energy from the other guitar slot. Yomogi holds down the bass with a relaxed ease that contrasts everyone else. Chieri attacks the drums like she has something to prove. And Shizuku sits behind the keys, quiet, precise, clearly the one who actually practiced. Getting five people like this to sound like one band is the whole challenge, and the animation leans into that: the performances feel kinetic and alive, the kind of thing that makes you want to turn the volume up. It's a single episode built around their debut song, so there's no sprawling storyline here, just a concentrated burst of that early-band energy where everything is uncertain but the ambition is real. If you've watched K-On! and wanted something with a little more edge, or if BanG Dream! scratched an itch you didn't know you had, this lands in similar territory while carving its own space. Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad fans who miss that feeling of a band finding its footing will recognize something familiar here too. Short, focused, and worth your time if music anime is your thing.
