HHH Triple Ecchi
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Quietly resented by her classmates, Shigure Takashima is exactly the kind of student who seems to have it all — top of her class, student council president, athletic, wealthy, composed. The whole package. Then a classmate named Kita stumbles into a situation that completely dismantles that image, and what follows is a story built entirely around the gap between who people appear to be and what they actually want behind closed doors. That tension is the core of HHH Triple Ecchi, a four-episode OVA from 2010 adapting Distance's manga. The full release is actually a collection of three separate short stories, each following different characters through that same theme of hidden lives and private desires beneath polished exteriors. The character designs are expressive and detailed, which is clearly where most of the production effort went, and it shows. If you've watched something like Bible Black or Discipline: The Record of a Crusade and appreciated when adult anime bothers to give characters an actual setup before anything happens, this follows that same structure. It's not building toward some deep emotional payoff, but the framing is more considered than a lot of titles in the genre. For a short OVA series, it moves efficiently and doesn't overstay its welcome. Treat it as a curated anthology with a consistent visual style and a clear interest in character contrast, and it delivers exactly what it's going for.
