Hetalia Axis Powers: Paint it, White!

Hetalia is genuinely hilarious, though the first few minutes can feel pretty chaotic. For first-time viewers unfamiliar with the series, it might be difficult to understand the relationships between the characters. However, for longtime viewers, the show’s style becomes much easier to follow. You really have to read between the lines and pick up on the subtle messages in the dialogue, which is what makes the anime cleverly written. Aside from being entertaining, it also provides interesting information about different countries, their histories, identities, and relationships with one another. It manages to present historical and political topics without feeling like a boring history lesson.

I have never heard of characters being named after countries before. I find it really cute and the writer is so creative. The interactions between the characters also made the movie enjoyable and prevented the story from becoming too serious. It is fun and entertaining movie when you watch it

This film does justice to the series. We see all the countries represented by characters who have arguments, fights, and affinities that fit the stereotypes of each country. There's constant comedy, jokes, and humor about, as I said, the stereotypes of the countries, historical events, and the tastes of each nation. There are also conflicts and affinities between countries that get along well or poorly, reflecting real life. Overall, it's a comedy-filled film with a balanced pace, a good amount of history in a way, and it's easy to watch and entertaining in its own way. If you like history and the gossip between countries, this is a good series and film for you.

I had a lot of fun with this one. It takes Hetalia in a completely ridiculous direction with aliens called the Pict, who suck all the color and happiness out of Earth, leaving everyone looking like blank white figures. The random jokes and cameos are great, Switzerland's neutrality somehow keeping UFOs away had me laughing. The ending is exactly the kind of nonsense I'd expect from Hetalia, with Italy basically saving the world by drawing faces on everyone with a marker. It's goofy, chaotic, and surprisingly wholesome.
