The film follows Hana Kappa and his companions as they face a sudden crisis in Yamabiko. Butterfly warriors descend upon the land, abducting Hana Kappa's mother and other residents. Driven by a need to rescue them, Hana Kappa and his friends begin a perilous journey towards the enigmatic Butterfly Kingdom. Their path is fraught with challenges, forcing them to traverse treacherous mountains and expansive deserts.
