Shugo and his twin sister Rena win the chance to play as the legendary characters "Kite" and "Black Rose" in the MMORPG "The World." Entering the game, they befriend Ouka, Mirelle, Hotaru, and Sanjuro, working together to complete events and quests. Soon, the game takes a dark turn as mysterious monsters emerge, causing players to fall into comas in the real world. Shugo and Rena find themselves at the center of this crisis, targeted by unknown forces. They must unravel the secrets hidden within "The World" to understand why they are being targeted and how to save the players trapped within the game.
