📖 SYNOPSIS
Gokyoudai Monogatari, adapted from Tetsu Adachi's Baka-Kyoudai manga, centers on the sibling duo of Onei and her twin brother Junichirō Jinushi. The anime is set in the lower-class neighborhoods of Tokyo, where the siblings live a carefree existence. The story emphasizes the heartwarming encounters they have with the local people, suggesting a focus on community and interpersonal relationships. The series features Yuki Matsuoka as the voice of Onei, Yumiko Kobayashi as Junichirō, and Sayaka Ohara as Shizuka, a waitress at a local restaurant. The original manga, which has been running since 1999, received an award of excellence at the 7th Cultural Media Arts Festival in 2003.
