Ghost Concert: Missing Songs
Oshimeter
Synopsis
In 2045, singing is literally illegal, and all music comes from an app called MiucS — no human voices, no live performances, nothing. Seria Aiba is a high school student who can see spirits, which is already a weird enough life, but things get stranger when she hears someone actually singing out loud. She follows the voice and meets Cleopatra — not a cosplayer, but the actual historical figure, now existing as a "Great Ghost" from beyond the world. That encounter pulls Seria into a deeper mystery about why singing was banned in the first place and what these spectral versions of famous historical figures really want. The hook here is the mix of music, supernatural action, and historical figures showing up as ghosts with their own agendas. Elements Garden is handling the music — the same composers behind Symphogear — so the soundtrack should hit hard. If you liked Symphogear's blend of combat and music or the way Lost Song built its world around the power of song, this is playing in similar territory but with its own dystopian angle. The director, Masato Jinbo, has a solid track record with action-supernatural stuff, so the pacing and fight choreography should land well. The premise of a world that outlawed human singing and then ghosts of historical figures start performing anyway has a tension to it that could go in genuinely interesting directions. Worth keeping on your radar for 2026.
