The tension finally exploded as the Gatchaman fought together while Tsubasa stepped up to protect Rui. Rui's desperate attempt to trust the enemy ended in tragedy, proving that good intentions alone cannot overcome blind extremism. The intense action and emotional cliffhanger made this the strongest episode of the season so far.
