Garden: Takamine-ke no Nirinka - The Animation
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Living under the same roof as his aunt and two cousins, Ayame and Sayuri, Tomoya finds himself in the Takamine household — a setup that's already a little complicated. When their mother leaves on an extended trip, the already-thin boundaries in the house start to disappear entirely. What follows is an explicit exploration of forbidden dynamics between Tomoya and his cousins, adapted from Kuro no Miki's manga by Studio Seven. This is a single-episode OVA, so there's no slow build — it gets to the point quickly and stays there. The animation quality is noticeably clean for the genre, which fans of Studio Seven's output will recognize. If you've seen Oni Chichi and liked the taboo family-dynamic angle, this hits a similar note but with a slightly more grounded domestic setting. It also shares DNA with Kanojo x Kanojo x Kanojo in the sense that it's one guy navigating multiple female relatives with very forward personalities. Don't go in expecting emotional depth or much character development — this is a short, explicit OVA that exists to deliver on its premise and does exactly that without much pretense. The source manga has a following, and the adaptation stays faithful to what made it appealing to that audience. If that premise sounds like your thing, it's a short time commitment and the production holds up.
