Synopsis
A high school student named Kon Katakura is in a relationship with her teacher, Kurosawa-sensei. That setup alone tells you this is not a comfortable watch, and going in with clear eyes about that is probably the right move. Based on a manga by Inu and adapted by Studio 1st, this single-episode OVA from 2014 leans into the emotional tension of two people who care about each other but struggle to actually communicate that — the awkward pauses, the unspoken feelings, the weight of a dynamic that already has a lot working against it. The animation is clean and the pacing is intimate, more focused on what's happening between these two characters emotionally than anything else. It's introspective in a way that feels deliberate rather than slow. If you've watched something like Aneki... My Sweet Elder Sister The Animation and wanted more attention paid to the character side of things, this scratches that itch a bit more. It's a short commitment at one episode, and the story doesn't really punish you for knowing nothing about the source manga going in. Just be aware of what you're getting into thematically — the teacher-student angle is front and center, and the show doesn't shy away from that complexity. Worth a watch if you're curious about the emotional framing around that kind of story.
