📖 SYNOPSIS

"Firewood, Kanta and Granpa" is a puppet animation set in a secluded mountain village in Japan, perpetually covered in deep snow. The story centers on Kanta, a young boy, and his grandfather, who live on the outskirts of the village. When the grandfather falls sick, the pair face a dire situation: their firewood supply is running low. Without firewood, the grandfather risks freezing to death.

Driven by love and necessity, Kanta resolves to gather more firewood from the woodshed. However, the woodshed is a source of fear for the young boy, appearing spooky and distant, especially at midnight. Despite his apprehension, Kanta summons his courage and embarks on his mission. The animation explores themes of bravery, familial love, and the challenges of survival in a harsh environment, culminating in a small but significant discovery for Kanta.
