Synopsis
Meet Ten, a farmer who grows monsters from seeds. Not metaphorical seeds — actual seeds you plant in the ground, water, and harvest into creatures that fight alongside you. In the underworld realm of Felicidad, these monster-cultivating folks are called Farmagia, and Ten lives a pretty chill life in the town of Centvelt with his friends Chica, Arche, Leii, and a fairy named Lookie-Loo. They tend their fields, hang out with their monster companions, and things are good. Then the ruler of Felicidad dies, and one of the six generals who served under him — a guy named Glaza — decides he's in charge now. Peaceful farming life is over. Ten and his crew find themselves pulled into a resistance against a new tyrant, guided by Nares, the more reasonable general who governs their continent. It's a 12-episode TV series from Studio Bridge, based on a game, with character designs by Hiro Mashima — so if you liked the look and energy of Fairy Tail or Edens Zero, that aesthetic is all over this. The soundtrack pulls in Asian Kung-Fu Generation, which is a nice touch. The whole vibe sits somewhere between Rune Factory's cozy monster-farming charm and a classic shonen power struggle. It doesn't reinvent anything, but if you want a fantasy adventure with a farming twist and that familiar Mashima warmth in the character dynamics, this scratches that itch pretty well.
