Conquered and now sitting under the rule of the Kingdom of Great Lunarium — a moon-based matriarchy that runs a rigid caste system, with crests on people's bodies determining where they stand in the hierarchy — Earth is a very different place. Katsuma is a male executive in the Crescent Moon caste, which means he spends most of his time getting talked down to by his female superiors and repeatedly losing battles against the hero Silverstar. Not exactly a great situation. After one particularly rough defeat, he ends up being cared for by Maria, another Silverstar, and what starts as an act of kindness turns into something more intimate — and then something stranger. That encounter leaves Katsuma with a new ability, and suddenly the guy who couldn't catch a break has a reason to push back against the people who've been treating him like furniture. The setup is pure supernatural power-dynamics territory, with a world-building premise that's more layered than you'd expect from a single-episode OVA. If you've watched Moonlight Lady or Devil Lady and wanted something that leans harder into the supernatural caste politics side of things, this scratches a similar itch. It's adapted from a visual novel, so the character dynamics have that distinct written-origin feel — motivations are spelled out, personalities are clear. At one episode, it doesn't overstay its welcome. Just know going in that this is a hentai OVA from 2012, so the tone is exactly what that implies.
