Eroge Can Solve Everything! The Animation
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Making her own eroge from scratch is Yuri Shibasaki's goal. That means she needs a team, and she's not shy about drafting people into the project — including the very shy, very reluctant Mikoshiba. What starts as a slightly absurd premise turns into a surprisingly watchable character piece about a group of high schoolers fumbling through a creative endeavor that nobody really knows how to handle. The comedy comes from the gap between Yuri's unshakeable confidence and everyone else's complete awkwardness about the whole thing. Mikoshiba in particular is a solid straight-man type — reserved, easily flustered, and stuck working on something that clearly embarrasses him. The two-episode OVA format keeps things tight, so there's no filler dragging it down. Studio Seven brings a clean visual style that suits the lighter tone well. If you've seen Eroge! H mo Game mo Kaihatsu Zanmai and enjoyed the game development framing mixed with character comedy, this scratches a similar itch. Fans of Baku Ane or Rance 01: Hikari wo Motomete The Animation will find the general atmosphere familiar too. It's not trying to be anything complicated — just a short, lighthearted adult OVA with some genuine personality in its character dynamics. Go in expecting exactly that and you'll have a decent time with it.
