i honestly wish they just went the yuri route with eren and akari. like did you see the tension??? it would have been absolute perfection. akari is such an interesting character but i just feel so much pity for her more than anything. massive ed trigger warning btw. it really shows how nobody in this story is purely black or white and everyone just exists in this sad morally grey space.
