Edgar really crashes into Lydia's peaceful life like he read every shoujo protagonist handbook and decided "yeah I'm doing all of that today." The Victorian fantasy vibe hooked me immediately, and Lydia being smart instead of instantly folding made the chemistry way more fun than expected.
