With 72 hours before a poison gas wipes out every living thing on the planet, this two-episode OVA hits the ground running, and it moves fast enough that the short runtime actually works in its favor. Dr. Raichi is the last survivor of the Tsufurujin race, a civilization the Saiyans wiped out long before the series began. and he's built machines that pump Destron Gas into the atmosphere as a very deliberate act of revenge against Goku, Vegeta, and anyone unfortunate enough to share a planet with them. Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta, and Future Trunks all get in on the scramble to find and destroy these machines before time runs out. What makes it interesting beyond the ticking clock is the Tsufurujin lore itself: it quietly adds texture to Saiyan history in a way the main series rarely stops to explore. The villains are genuinely menacing too, with some familiar faces showing up in unsettling new forms. If you liked the straightforward villain-of-the-movie energy from Dragon Ball Z: The Tree of Might or Dragon Ball Z: The World's Strongest, this sits comfortably in that same space. Think of it as a lean, self-contained DBZ story with a slightly darker premise than usual, no padding, just setup and confrontation. Good for a Friday night when you want something that doesn't ask much of you.

uncultured_bovine★★★☆☆EP 2Animation was pretty fun and the fights were flashy, especially that boss fight. But the pacing was went bad tho in that second part
hellozaworldo★★★☆☆EP 2The first half was fine and the middle cut was pretty funny, but the fight after that felt really dragged on
b4kasamaaaaa★★★☆☆EP 1Fun aesthetic with that game-looking parts where they travel to different places. Makes sense as this OVA promotes a video game. The plot line is a bit too generic though
hellozaworldo★★★★★EP 1The story for this OVA is pretty solid. No pacing issues here. Voice acting, fight scenes and animation is what you'd generally expect from Dragon Ball Z.
uncultured_bovine★★★★★EP 1For a filler, the pacing and narrative is pretty decent. The events in one episode is justifiable. Dialogue and fight scenes don't feel too draggy. But it's not mind-blowing either
