📖 SYNOPSIS
Born around the same time, Goku, Vegeta, and Broly are three Saiyan babies who each get dealt a completely different hand. Goku lands on Earth, Vegeta grows up as royalty, and Broly gets exiled to a barren wasteland planet because King Vegeta saw his power level and got paranoid. Decades later, after the events of the Tournament of Power, Goku and Vegeta run into Broly for the first time, and it turns out all those years of surviving on a hostile world made him absurdly strong. Like, a problem neither of them can handle alone kind of strong.
What makes this movie work beyond the obvious fight scenes — which are genuinely some of the best animated sequences Toei has ever produced — is that it takes time to flesh out who Broly actually is. He's not just a rage monster this time around. You get his backstory, you understand why he fights, and it gives the whole thing actual weight when fists start flying. The animation style got a serious overhaul here, blending CG and traditional techniques in a way that makes every punch land harder than anything in the TV series.
If you enjoyed Dragon Ball Z: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan but wished it had better writing and modern production values, this is exactly that. Fans of big-screen anime brawls like One Piece Film: Z or the Naruto Shippuden movies will feel right at home too. You don't need deep Dragon Ball Super knowledge to enjoy it — just know Goku and Vegeta are strong, and someone stronger just showed up.
