Dr. Stone: Science Future Part 3
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Since the very beginning of the series, Senku Ishigami has been rebuilding civilization from literal rocks and sticks, and now he's decided the next logical step is going to the Moon. That's where Dr. Stone: Science Future Part 3 picks up — Senku and former rival Dr. Xeno are pooling their genius-level intellects to build a lunar mission, all because the mysterious Why-Man, the entity that turned all of humanity to stone thousands of years ago, seems to be broadcasting from up there. The setup is as absurd as it sounds, but the show has always had this weird gift for making you believe a teenager could reinvent rocketry from scratch, and actually teaching you real science along the way. The dynamic between Senku and Xeno is genuinely fun to watch — two massive egos who respect each other just enough to cooperate, surrounded by a cast that keeps things from getting too lecture-heavy. The comedy lands without undercutting the stakes, which is harder to pull off than it looks. If you liked the survival ingenuity of Astra Lost in Space or the post-apocalyptic rebuilding vibe of 7 Seeds, this scratches a similar itch but with way more chemistry experiments and rocket fuel calculations. TMS Entertainment is handling animation again for this TV series, continuing the manga's final stretch. You don't need to be a science nerd to enjoy it, but you might become one.

Quick Takes
View all 174 takesI love how anime can be when it comes to the human experience and technology. The big themes discussed within the series storylines are presented in an unsentimental yet emotional. the pace of this episode feels slow, and with nothing typically happening it can feel boring to some but the writing and suspense create a more world building with each scene.
The space arc hype is unreal! Senku and Xeno’s drive to reach beyond Earth is next-level, and Chrome’s crew stepping up just makes it even more inspiring.
