I don't know why the ridiculousness keep catching me off guard. The current pair; Pink and Rookie has intense friction that I'd expect from the main duo but instead finding it on them is great. The plot twist has no set-up whatsoever so it was a bit abrupt. But the dynamic between the detectives is really what sells the story.
