Dorei Maid Princess
Oshimeter
Synopsis
After falling into enemy hands, Lotte Birenkoven — a warrior princess — faces a grim fate, and the only way to save her life is for her childhood friend to transform her into a slave maid within a month. That's the setup, and it does not soften the edges. This is a dark fantasy OVA adapted from a Black-Lilith visual novel, so if you know that studio's work, you already have a sense of what you're walking into. The medieval fantasy setting gets some genuine attention, with detailed animation that builds out the world beyond just a backdrop, and the story leans into the psychological weight of Lotte's situation rather than glossing over it. Watching someone who was born into power navigate complete loss of autonomy is where the narrative finds most of its tension. It's a 4-episode OVA, so the pacing moves quickly and stays focused on Lotte's transformation without much detour. If you've seen Kuroinu: Kedakaki Seijo wa Hakudaku ni Somaru and appreciated the darker fantasy framing around its content, this sits in similar territory. Fans of Princess Lover! looking for something that trades the lighter tone for something heavier might find this scratches that itch in a different direction. Just go in knowing this is explicit, the themes are mature, and the story is not here to be comfortable.
